This is just a quick report to let you know that momentum for soul winning as a priority for awakening and revival is continuing. Destiny Christian Fellowship took a team for a marathon to work with Revival Town ministries in Olympia, Washington. Approximately 12 churches took part in a three to four hour marathon following training using the soul winning script with Joel Hjerstedt’s team from Destiny. Some 130 folks prayed to receive Christ in the out reach.
I was invited to join my good friend Arlan Askew from Westside Vineyard in Beaverton to speak at a conference with Journey Church in Walla Walla Washington. As a part I asked one of our evangelist, Courtney Martin to equip the folks at the conference Saturday morning. About 30 or more people went out to share the good news with Walla Walla. In less than two hours 23 folks prayed to receive Christ.
What is so exciting to me about these reports is that everyday saints are gaining confidence to reach out with the love of Christ in a simple way that a child can do. There are so many hungry souls waiting to hear the good news, receive prayer, and have never really heard the gospel presented in a simple clear way. I think the church in America has assumed for some time everyone has heard the gospel and it’s just not so. Please continue to pray that seeds planted will grow and folks will be able to connect with the church at large and find fellowship and family. That’s one of the big questions people have about what is taking place with this approach to reaching people with the gospel. The alternative though at this point, is few are hearing in any other way that is so clear and simple with such dramatic results. If I were an unbeliever, I would be hesitant to enter the doors of church with so many different options and the picture painted by the media these days. But God is awakening the church and it will eventually awaken the nation. We stepped out in faith in September, 2011 to open “The Secret Place” (a storefront) (Psalm 91) where we have been in intercession for 6 months calling the things that are not as though they are! We have been assigned to Wal-mart Corporation and our local store. We believe we are preparing the WAY OF THE LORD in this territory. Come Great Awakening Come, Releasing the Great Awakening over Spokane, Airway Heights and all the cities and towns in the West Plains of Washington! Come, FIRE Come! Releasing the FIRE! Releasing the fresh FIRE on New Covenant Fellowship and Pastor Jim and Marcia and the Healing Rooms of Spokane and Cal Pierce. Let us have the impartation of the mantle that is over our city, let us redig the wells of Apostle John G. Lake!…Releasing the mantle over Spokane and the West Plains! Come Holy Spirit Come!
